We're facing an unpecedented global mental health crisis with mental health problems on the rise. WHO revealed that 1 in every 8 people live with a mental disorder that may involve significant disturbances in thinking, emotional regulation, or behaviour.
Veterans, first responders, and health support workers are more likely than the general population to experience problems, such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress. This can have a significant impact on their lives, making it difficult to work, maintain relationships, and enjoy life.
Making matters worse, those people who want support either do not have access to effective care or do not seek care for fear of associated stigma or discrimination which far too often prevents people from reaching out and getting help they need.
